Cycling in the green Did you know that you can cycle from the University Hospital in Jette almost all the way to the centre of Brussels in green surroundings? This cycle tour weaves a route through Jette and Laeken that starts at exit 9 of Ring 0 and leads to the centre via King Baudouin Park and Tour&Taxis. Along the way, we cross fields, woods, marshes and parks. Stately avenues with front gardens alternate with an old limestone quarry and an ecological civic initiative. We pass Jette's charming railway station, Victor Horta's Brugmann Hospital (pavilions in a lush park) and ... believe it or not ... the Grotto of Lourdes is also on the menu. A 14-kilometre cycling tour on an undulating but mostly descending trail. During the guided tour, we cycle at a leisurely pace and stop regularly. Along the way, a drink break is also provided with a jazzy musical interlude. Guided tour on Saturday and Sunday. Departure: 13h30 P+R UZ Jette | End: 16h30 Beursplein, Brussels City. |
