Aleph Quintet is one of the revelations of the Brussels jazz scene. Their music unites jazz improvisation with North African sounds, Gnawa rhythms and Sufi influences. What started as spontaneous encounters grew into a close-knit collective, recorded on Shapes of Silence, with contributions from luminaries Manuel Hermia and Fabrizio Cassol (Aka Moon).
