The young pianist Alex Koo takes up the torch of Belgian Jazz and carries it high. Trained in Courtrai, then Amsterdam, Copenhagen and New York, Alex Koo is the recipient of several national and international awards. At barely 30, he hit the big stage with two albums recorded with American excellences (Ralph Alessi, Mark Turner, Attila Gyárfás). His work has been hailed, among others, by DownBeat Jazz Magazine, a jazz international reference. In addition to his devastating technique, he sets himself apart first and foremost for his ideas, his adventurous compositions and his hypnotic improvisations. Needless to say, his Belgian trio, alongside Dré Pallemaerts and Lennart Heyndels, fully embodies this dynamic. A captivating musical adventure and a fabulous trio!
