Kari Ikonen’s moog and Manuel Hermia’s bansuri expand the sound of a classical jazz quartet, inviting sounds of Indian and Arabic music, as well as electronics. The intense rhythmic complicity between Nathan Wouters (double bass – replacing Sébastien Boisseau) and Teun Verbruggen (drums) - both sharing the soloists jousting - adds to this intoxicating swing, rocked by modernism and quirky humor.
