The ensemble Tambora International de Bruxelles performs the repertoire of Tambora, a music genre from the Colombian Caribbean. The areas of Tambora were created in a context of slavery and cultural mixing, on the banks of the Magdalena River, on the edge of the haciendas of the Spanish colonists. This is Colombian samba, which refers to an instrument, a musical genre, a dance and a festival. It tells the story of a Colombia of mixed cultures in the countryside, depending on the land and its rich, abundant nature.
